          . Glossy light to medium

chocolate brown with slightly lighter brown toning on the

devices. There is minor roughness in the fields on both sides

and a few minor contact marks, but overall this is a nice exam-

ple for the grade. The notable marks are an "X" very lightly

scratched across the obverse centered just left of the ear and a

small but sharp rim nick opposite the eye. The bottom edge of

the date is starting to fade into the rim but the rest is clear and

the legends are easily readable. E-MDS, Breen state II, with die

          clashmarks on both sides.

          . Attractive glossy light

to medium chocolate brown and steel. The obverse is slightly

sharper than the reverse but both sides offer excellent eye

appeal. No hint of roughness or verdigris and only a few light

contact marks. The notable marks are a thin nick high on the

neck, a dull one on the shoulder, a shallow diagonal scratch in

the leaves left of the O in ONE, and a few very light rim nicks

and bruises at the top of the reverse. E-MDS, Breen state II.

The reverse die has been lapped but the obverse is still

uncracked. The date is strong and the legends are complete. A

          nice cent, close to F12.

a bit better but there are traces of shallow black verdigris or

hard crud on both sides, mostly on the reverse. The notable

marks are a very light rim bruise over the T in LIBERTY, an

incipient planchet clip right of the neck, and some tiny "nibbles"

along the edge at S-OF-AMER. Mostly glossy medium brown

and light chocolate mixed with areas of dark olive brown crud in

protected areas. The date is bold and the legends are clear. E-

under the L in LIBERTY down to the bust and a tiny planchet

          . The obverse is weaker

but the reverse is stronger, the grade being an average of the

two sides. No roughness or verdigris. Just a few contact marks,

including an obvious scratch or thin planchet void on the face

and a trio of less-significant tiny rim bruises at the top of the

reverse. Mostly glossy steel brown and light chocolate. The 6 in

the date is slightly weak thanks to a minor die clog affecting its
