1795 S-76b R1 Plain Edge VF20
. Sharpness EF40 with
minor roughness in the fields and protected areas, strongest at
the cap where there is some shallow verdigris. The only marks
are a tiny scratch right of the Y in LIBERTY and a thin planchet
crease in the dentils above ERT (as struck). Mostly glossy
medium brown and light chocolate fading to darker chocolate
brown in protected areas. Decent eye appeal in spite of the sur-
face issues. Nicely struck E-MDS, Breen state IV. Minor swelling
is starting to show in the field before the portrait but the dentils
are nearly complete around both sides.
