1832 N-2 R3- EF45
. Misaligned Dies. Frosty light brown with
slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Excellent
eye appeal. The notable marks are a small nick on the cheek
near the hair, a spot of reddish brown toning between the bot-
toms of the N & E in ONE, and a puff of darker chocolate brown
toning at F-A. LDS. Evidence of the misplaced S left of the first S
in STATES is gone. Struck with the obverse die slightly mis-
aligned to K-4.5 while the reverse is properly centered on the
planchet.

1833 N-3 R1 PCGS graded AU58
. Frosty chocolate brown
and light olive with satiny mint luster covering the protected
areas on both sides. No spots, stains, or notable contact marks.
This cent offers excellent eye appeal; just a bit of friction on the
high points from mint state. M-LDS.
Our grade is EF45+,
very close to AU50.

Pair of Large Cents, 1833 & 1834
. Includes 1833 N-3 R1
MDS with a partial double profile on the chin EF40, and 1834 N-
2 R1 Small Date with Large Stars MDS EF40 net VF30 for an
abraded spot at the throat. Both are glossy brown and choco-
late. Lot of 2 coins.

1833 N-6 R1 AU58
. Glossy chocolate and dark steel brown
with frosty lighter steel brown toning in some of the protected
areas on the reverse. Looks mint state but there is a hint of fric-
tion on the highest points of the devices. The only marks are a
spot of reddish brown toning on the upper lip and a tiny nick on
the tip of the bust. MDS with two cracks through the N in
UNITED but the section between the two cracks is not raised.

1834 N-1 R1 Small Date, Large Stars PCGS graded MS62
Brown
. Frosty medium brown and tan blending to light choco-
late. Satiny mint luster covers the protected areas. The only
marks are a nick-like planchet chip on the jaw and a pair of light
nicks in the field off the chin. M-LDS. Crumbling fills most of the
space between the right points of star 4 but the repunching
inside the C in AMERICA is still visible.
Our grade is AU50.

1834 N-1 R1 Small Date, Large Stars AU55
. Very attractive
lustrous medium brown. A faint hint of reddish brown toning on
the upper lip is the only mark. Otherwise this cent is choice and
the eye appeal is outstanding for the grade. MDS with several
tiny lumps (from die rust) at star 4.

slab graded MS62BN
(NGC label #696018-004 included, and
it shows the attribution).
