1805 S-268 R3 VF35
. Glossy light olive brown with hints of
reddish brown toning in protected areas on the obverse and
specks of lighter brown and tan toning in protected areas on the
reverse. The surfaces are perfectly smooth and the eye appeal
of this cent is excellent. A small planchet chip (as struck) in the
field near the rim off the lower end of the hair ribbon is the only
notable mark. LDS, Breen state III, with subtle bulges in the
obverse fields and at the D in UNITED. A very nice example of a
tough die variety.
