Group of 5 Counterfeit British Halfpennies 1771-1775
grading VG10 to VF30
. Average grade is F15 to VF20.
Includes one each 1771, 1772, 1773, 1774, and 1775. All have
a clear date. A nice group. Weights range from 94.4 to 120.3
grains. These were used in colonial America and are discussed
on pages 65-66 in the "Redbook." Lot of 5 coins.

. Average grade is F12. All display different
styles and several have dramatic die cracks. Weights range from
105.5 to 120.7 grains. These were used in colonial America and

Pair of Counterfeit British Halfpennies with an Obverse
Brockage
. Both are George III styles. The first grades F15 and
weighs 92.2 grains. The second grades VF30 but is holed and
weighs 87.0 grains. Both are sharp with excellent color and sur-
faces. These were used in colonial America and are discussed
on pages 65-66 in the "Redbook." Lot of 2 coins.

Group of 6 Counterfeit British Halfpennies with Mint
Errors
. Dates range from 1772 to 1775 and the grades range
from Fair-2 to F12 with an average grade of VG7 to VG8. All
have either a clipped planchet or were struck off center.
Weights range from 100.8 to 124.0 grains. These were used in
colonial America and are discussed on pages 65-66 in the "Red-
book." Lot of 6 coins.

Trio of Counterfeit British Halfpennies, all Boldly Double
Struck
. Dates are 1773, 1774, and 1775. Grades range from
VG7 to VG10. Each has a second strike that is significantly off
center creating a dramatic mint error. Weights range from 87.1
to 126.8 grains. These were used in colonial America and are
discussed on pages 65-66 in the "Redbook." Lot of 3 coins.

Group of 11 Mixed Early Coppers
. Includes 5 contemporary
counterfeit halfpennies 1771-1788 in poor condition, a 1796
Castorland Medal Restrike in silver grading EF45 (listed on page
77 in the "Redbook"), an 1828 Half Cent with 13 stars grading
F-VF, and 4 large cents (1801, 1803, 1817, and 1831) grading
AG. Lot of 11 coins.

1694 Robinson Copy of New England Elephant Token in
Copper Kenny-5 W-15200 Rarity-6+ MS63
. Frosty
medium brown and light chocolate blending to deeper olive
brown in protected areas. Peeps of faded mint red show in a
couple of the protected areas. Sharply struck. A couple small
spots near the end of the elephant's trunk are the only defects.
Reportedly only 15 examples were struck in copper in the
1860's before the dies were destroyed. Weight 118.1 grains.

1733 Robinson Copy of Rosa Americana Twopence in
Silver Kenny-4 W-15180 Rarity-7 AU58
. Mint state sharp-
ness but very lightly cleaned. Attractive bright silvery gray
blending to smokey steel in protected areas. No marks other
than some faint hairlines. One of only 10 struck in silver some-
time in the 1860's before the dies were destroyed. Diameter
33.8 millimeters; weight 204.3 grains. The original strikes are
listed on page 44 in the "Redbook."

1795 British Political Token for Patriots Spence, More &
Paine MS60
. Attractive frosty light chocolate brown and steel
with traces of faded mint red. The obverse legend reads "Thos
Spence/Sir Thos More/Thos Paine/Advocates for the Rights of
Man/1795." The reverse shows a large pig stepping on a crown
and cannon with a Liberty Cap above all surrounded the legend
"Pigs Meat Published by T. Spence London." Diameter 20.2 mil-
limeters.
