KL-190
. This is a stunning Gem example
of an early "Greenback," with bold originality, wonderful
inks and colors, and fantastic margins for the issue. High
quality large size type notes are always in high demand,
especially from earlier series where the paper quality was
not as sturdy as in later issues.
PCGS has graded just
seven examples of this Fr. number at the 66PPQ
grade, with just a single finer 67PPQ assigned to
date.
Originality and quality like that displayed with this
note never seems to go out of style. Please see photo on
our website.

note was printed upside down on the sheet, resulting in this
highly collectible error. It is solid for the assigned grade with no
mentionable flaws.

. The centering and margins are out-
standing on this lovely Hancock deuce. It possesses bold
embossing, terrific color, and a high numeric grade. This
note has very tiny trace of repairing on the bottom and
margin left of center.

About New 55PPQ
.
Fr-469
.
KL-1117
. While a single crease
just to the right of center defines the grade, this Brown Back
Five is about as attractive as one could ever want. The colors
are amazing, the margins and centering are well above average,
and the eye appeal is top notch. The embossing and originality
are evident through the PCGS holder. An outstanding note that
matches many with higher technical grades, and one that won't
break the collecting budget. Please see photo on our website.
Estimated Value ..............................................$2,000 - 2,500

Honolulu, HI, Ch#5550. PMG Extremely Fine 40EPQ
.
Fr-

.
KL-1164
. While most Territorial NBns carry a five-figure
price tag, large size notes from this relatively common Hawaii
bank can be obtained by most budget-constrained collectors.
This is a pretty, fully original example with just a few folds and
minor signs of circulation that define the grade, and it is much
nicer than the average note found from here which tends to be
in lower grades. Please see photo on our website.
Estimated Value ..............................................$5,000 - 6,000

. While there are about 15
examples extant from this large size-only bank, this is the only
serial number 1 reported. A single corner bend prevents a much
higher grade.
