. Thick antique toning on both sides. A scarce variety.
Noted for its 1829/7 overdate, the 1829 issue includes a few
scarce varieties, of which this is one, and a single unique or
nearly so variety that is the O-120. O-104 has a large high 5 in
the denomination, whose stand is widely recut. C is also very
close to the end of the olive stem. There is a rough die lump in
the field under the eagle's head. Numerous fine die lines can be
found along the left side of the right wing tip as well. Another
die defect, in addition to the lump, occurs in the field near the
junction of the tail fethers and left wing.

olive branch. O-109a, a late-stage, includes a die crack along
the top of UNITED and another at the top of S OF AM. Tops of
