. Average grade is VF35. One of each date is repre-

sented, a total of 24 coins in a Whitman album. Coins are

. Choice glossy medium choc-

olate brown. Virtually flawless with outstanding eye appeal, just

a hint of friction on the highest points from mint state. A thin

horizontal nick under star 6 is the only notable mark. M-LDS, die

state c.

Removed from an old PCGS slab graded MS62BN

(PCGS label#1820.62/4030240 included). Comes with a great

provenance.

1842 N-6 R1 Large Date AU58

. Choice glossy uniform

medium brown and light chocolate. Underlying mint luster cov-

ers the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal of this

cent is excellent. The notable marks are a spot of very fine car-

bon in the field between stars 12 & 13 and a thin nick under the

O in ONE. Scarce LDS, die state d (Reiver' s #10), with a small

lump in the field near the leaf right of the base of E in ONE.

1842 N-8 R1 Large Date MS63

. Choice lustrous light olive

and bluish steel brown with traces of faded mint red showing on

the obverse. Satiny and nearly perfect with outstanding eye

appeal. A small planchet flake on the rim at star 5 (as struck) is

the best identifying mark, and it is insignificant. LDS, die state

b. The diagonal point up from the right top of the N in CENT is

clear but the earlier lines are gone. Tied for CC#5 in the Grell-

man census.
