PCGS graded MS-65 Deep Mirror Prooflike
PQ.
CAC APPROVED.
A great looking DMPL dollar featur-
ing a modest amount of antique-gold and sea-blue color-
ations surrounding the borders. Bright, highly reflective
luster glistens from the fields and the devices are frosty on
this well presented and sharply struck specimen. This date
is highly elusive as a Deep Mirror Prooflike in any grade, let
alone a full Gem. Soft-edged devices and details through-
out the centers are typical on this New Orleans date, how-
ever, a very small percentage of the year's production is
found with enough convincing detail to be called "bold" and
this is one such coin. Worth a close examination by the per-
spective buyer.

PCGS graded MS-66
. Lovely shades of cobalt-
blue, crimson-red, lilac, gold, and russet combine to deco-
rate each side of this remarkably smooth Gem example.
Even close examination with a loupe fails to reveal any
noteworthy marks or other distractions. Well defined, save
for the minor softness always seen at the central areas on
each side. An important offering for Morgan dollar connois-
seurs.

PCGS graded MS-65
. Silky smooth, silver-white lus-
ter is nearly uniform across both the fields and design motifs on
both sides of this New Orleans issue that becomes somewhat
difficult to find at the MS-65 (or better) grade levels. The sur-
faces are lightly toned and generally free of bagmarks.
