PCGS graded EF-40
. Lightly toned
with a few scattered marks, one in the right obverse field is
mentioned for identification. The Capped Bust, Heraldic
Eagle type is one of the most challenging issues to find.
The total mintage of the series was tiny, and while note as
rare as some single year type issues, this is still a series
which few collectors will ever own even a single example.
Not only were the mintages modest, but the number of sur-
vivors is meager. Only 6812 minted, from which perhaps
250 to 350 of these are known. This is indeed a tiny num-
ber to represent what is considered to be one of the more
plentiful issues of this type. An opportunity to secure a
handsome example of this important coin. (
