1796 Browning-2, Rarity 3.
.
PCGS graded AU-55 PQ.
CAC APPROVED.
Lovely mottled golden-russet and lilac highlights dance
together on the surfaces of this partially lustrous specimen. Liberty's curls are fully defined and show just touches of light wear, while the
eagle's wing feathers on the reverse are complete. Even a few details from the eagle's eye are visible. Close inspection with a loupe reveals
only the most minor surface defects, none of which detract from the substantial eye appeal. As America's first quarter and the only year for
which the Small Eagle reverse is seen on this denomination, this is a popular type coin in all grades, especially so at this high level of preser-
vation.

The planchet was bent, thus loss of details in an irregular
fashion. Smooth, well worn surfaces, a diagonal scratch bisects
the reverse side. One of only 6,738 pieces struck. (

1805 Browning 3, Rarity 1.
.
PCGS graded EF-45 PQ.
CAC
APPROVED.
Attractive light steel-blue toning overlays each
side. The strike is about average for this die pairing with some
minor weakness at the centers and on the E of LIBERTY. Obvi-
ous evidence of die clashing is noted on the upper reverse. No
surface issues are reported aside from the usual light ticks com-
mon to the assigned grade. Scarce and desirable at XF-45 grade
level.
