.
PCGS graded MS-64 Brown.
CAC
APPROVED.
This Choice Mint State example seems high-end
for the assigned grade, with mark-free surfaces that are highly
lustrous. The design elements are crisply rendered, and pleas-
ing hues of tan-brown, sunset-red, and gold are intermingled
across both sides. Perhaps the most famous of the key date Lin-
coln cents.

.
PCGS graded MS-64 Brown.
CAC
APPROVED.
A satiny specimen with deep mint red, brown, and
golden-tan toning mingled over the lustrous surfaces. The sur-
faces are somewhat matte-like in appearance under low magni-
fication, and show a few scattered marks. Some tiny toning
flecks are noted, but the overall appearance is substantial
enough to warrant strong bidding activity.

PCGS graded Proof 66 Red & Brown
. A striking
proof Lincoln with plenty of original mint red enhanced by gor-
geous cherry-red and blue toning. While relatively common in
Gem condition, few are going to have this much eye appeal and
we urge the interested bidder to view this lot carefully.

PCGS graded Proof 65 Red & Brown.
CAC
APPROVED.
After the low-mintage 1909 V.D.B. proofs were
struck, there were 2,342 proof Lincoln cents produced without
the designer's initials. As expected, the striking details on this
matte proof are sharp in all areas. The surfaces have the typical
fine-grain texture as is seen on matte proofs. A mixture of deep
cherry-red and tan-brown covers each side. Exceptional quality
and value for the Lincoln cent enthusiast.Housed in an Old
Green Holder.

1912-D
.
PCGS graded MS-65 Red
. Uncommonly well pre-
served for this scarce Denver Mint issue, both sides retain full
mint bloom in shimmering fiery-red color. The coin is sharply
struck on the obverse and reverse featuring sharp detailing on
Lincoln's hair and the wheat ears. There are no grade-limiting
blemishes, only explosive mint luster and color. For accuracy, a
couple of microscopic flyspecks are seen on the reverse.
A semi-key issue in the Lincoln Cent series, the 1912-D has a
relatively low mintage of just over 10.4 million pieces. Examples
are scarce at all levels of preservation; in the finer circulated
and Mint State grades they are nothing short of rare. Uncircu-
lated survivors are frequently beleaguered by varying degrees
of incompleteness due to die wear, so sharply defined examples
are always in demand among leading Lincoln cent collectors.
