1905
.
PCGS graded MS-66
. This well preserved Gem is
sharply detailed in all areas, including the obverse stars and
wreath details on the reverse. The virtually pristine fields dis-
play a hint of attractive light gold patina, with vibrant underlying
mint luster.
Pop 76; 3 finer in 66+.

NGC graded Proof 67 PQ.
CAC APPROVED.
Delicate
blue and gold toning appears on both sides of this otherwise
brilliant nickel-gray Superb Gem proof. The fields are defect-free
with amazing depth of mirrored reflectivity, and the boldly
detailed devices are quite lustrous. This example borders on
presenting a Cameo contrast.
Pop 89; 9 finer in 68

1912-D
.
PCGS graded MS-65
. A popular branch mint issue,
the 1912-D Liberty nickel is also a conditionally challenging coin
that represents a particularly important find in grades at or
above the MS-65 level. This beautifully toned Gem is adorned
with ice-blue, reddish-gold, and nickel-gray patina. The strike is
above average for the issue with only minor weakness on sev-
eral of the stars and a bit on the lower left portion of the
wreath. Distracting spots or other blemishes are not reported.
Pop 157; 40 finer, 5 in 65+, 35 in 66
. (
PCGS # 3874
)
Estimated Value ..............................................$1,400 - 1,500

1912-S
.
PCGS graded MS-65
. This well defined lightly toned
example is uncommonly lustrous and distraction-free for a key
date 1912-S nickel. Attractive golden and other mixed irides-
cence resides over both surfaces. From a mintage of only
238,000 pieces, the lowest production of the series among
dates intended for circulation. We are pleased to present this
exceptional Gem Uncirculated 1912-S nickel for your bidding
consideration.

Satiny, barely toned surfaces with absolute
full luster in the fields, and a trifle matte-like in appearance. The
strike is well above average with minor softness only on the
mintmark. Scarce this nice and a popular early mintmarked
date.
