Initial mark Sun. Shield of Saint George within a wreath of palm and laurel branches; reverse, conjoined
(side-by-side) shields of Saint George and Ireland. A superb coin, fully struck with every tiny details
of the design on each side in evidence, on a broad flan with outer beading complete. Perhaps the finest
coin of this type extant.

Initial mark Sun. Rare. An exceptionally well-preserved example of this short-lived issue, sharply im-
pressed with even details on each side, struck on a broad and almost full flan, legends bold, initial mark
slightly doubled, toned in rich shades of golden purplish blue and silvery gray.
