QVARTO edge. Conjoined Busts (side by side) facing right; reverse, the elaborate Royal Shield deco-
rated with a seashell on either side, a style limited in use to this reign and one of the most beautiful of
all reverses in the 5-guinea series. An exceptionally well-preserved specimen with a bold strike on both
sides as well as lovely reddish gold toning.
