1811. Small 8 Overton-110 Rarity 1
.
NGC graded
MS-65
. Nicely toned and well struck. This coin is tied for
the fourth finest of the variety according to Steve Herrman'
s Auction & Mail Bid Prices Realized for Bust Half Dollars
1794 - 1839 "The toning is glorious and rich with old silver
shades that offer deep jewel tones when examined under a
light. The strike is sharp too, with all of Liberty' s curls
brought up well along with the eagle' s tiny feathers. Early
Capped Bust half dollars are seldom found in gem condi-
tion, and this offering is certainly something worthy of
note."
Pop 1; none finer at NGC for the variety.

1813. 50C over "UNI"
.
PCGS graded MS-63 PQ
. Boldly
struck with lovely gold and blue toning on both sides. This is a
plentiful die marriage but really tough to find this nice and
attractive. The surfaces are oustanding and the eye appeal is
amazing. The engraver, when creating the reverse die totally
blundered here, with UNI placed where the denomination
belonged, realizing the error, the denomination was engraved
over the errant UNI where the legend was started
