PCGS graded MS-65+
. A splendid Gem with delicate
rose-golden patina only visible when closely examined. The sur-
faces are uncommonly smooth with fully metallic, warm golden
features. This is a strongly struck example of the last affordable
Indian ten (the 1933 is a very expensive rarity), with excellent
detail on all the important highpoints. Three tiny parallel abra-
sions on the eagle's wing on the reverse limit this Gem from an
even higher Superb rating. (

1851-O
.
PCGS graded EF-45
. A popular issue for mint-
marked gold type purposes, the 1851-O double eagle is the
most readily obtainable New Orleans Mint issue. The present
example is well defined despite the presence of overall light
wear which is typical of the assigned grade. Medium honey-gold
color over both sides, with an unusually smooth appearance
from time spent in circulation. (
PCGS # 8905
)
Estimated Value ..............................................$3,700 - 3,900

of wear on the highpoints and a few tiny marks in the fields.
The surfaces display slightly subdued satiny mint luster. (
