1892-CC
.
NGC graded VF Details, Improperly Cleaned.
The surfaces are abnormally bright with deeper colorations in
the recesses of the design. Free of significant abrasions, this is
an affordable example of a somewhat scarcer CC-mint ten from
the 1890s. (

NGC graded Proof 64 Ultra Cameo.
CAC
APPROVED.
Frosty honey-gold motifs and deeply mirrored
fields display a glittering, bright appearance overall A fully
defined and very attractive Choice Proof with only a couple
of tiny ticks visible with magnification, these serving to limit
the grade. Just 55 proofs were struck, with somewhere
around 20 pieces surviving today, most of which are not as
nice as this example which is among the 10 finest examples
certified by NGC (some of which likely represent resubmis-
sions). An outstanding opportunity for an alert Liberty eagle
specialist or an advanced proof type collector.

NGC graded MS-66
. A fully lustrous Gem with
frosty surfaces and exceptional eye appeal. Pastel-rose
highlights add to the overall yellow-golden appearance, and
there are no mentionable marks on either side. Certainly a
notable specimen.

NGC graded MS-64+.
CAC APPROVED.
The 1899
ten is easily located in grades of MS-62 and lower, but its avail-
ability dramatically declines in each succeeding higher grade.
The date becomes rare at the Choice level, and finer coins are
exceedingly rare. Shimmering orange-golden mint luster engulfs
each side in frosty radiance, and the design elements are razor-
sharp. The eye appeal is certainly deserving of a Gem grade
designation. (

1901-S
.
PCGS graded MS-66
. Lovely light golden toning
over pinkish gold luster. Boldly struck. Exceptional quality for
any Coronet eagle, and a perfect date for the advanced special-
ist. The 1901-S issue tends toward flashy luster. Note the sharp-
ness of the strike, with no weakness found. The surfaces are
beyond reproach, after seeing countless Eagles of lesser grades
it is a welcome sight to find a coin beaming with this degree of
luster.
Pop 170; 6 finer, 4 in 66+, 2 in 67.
