PCGS graded Proof 66 Deep Cameo PQ.
CAC
APPROVED.
A highly unusual specimen in that it features
heavily frosted devices over "black" mirrored fields. With
absolute full striking detail, the devices contrast profoundly
with the deeply mirrored reflectivity in the fields. Just a hint
of natural patina has started to form, but the coin still pres-
ents as brilliant. A gorgeous survivor from a Proof mintage
of 57,500 pieces, up more than 6,000 pieces from the pre-
vious year's mintage.
Pop 15; 2 finer, 1 in 66+, 1 in 67
.

the fields are deeply mirrored and the devices are frosted which
yields a noticeable cameo contrast. A very scarce early Franklin
half to find with such nicely cameoed surfaces.

in 67+.
