1938-D

.

PCGS graded MS-68

. This coin is tied with a

handful of others as the finest graded of this final year of

issue. The Jefferson nickel was soon to make its appear-

ance and most collectors focused on saving that new style.

Hence the Buffalo nickels were somewhat ignored in 1938.

Notice the glorious blue, teal and gold shades that grace

both sides of this incredible superb gem. If you demand top

quality, mind blowing eye appeal, then here it is!

CAC Gold Sticker. PQ.

Mostly untoned with luster visible on both sides. Housed in

an Old Green Holder. Only 15,600 struck and precious few

remain today in any grade. This is one of the finer exam-

ples of this date, with mint fresh surfaces and gorgeous eye

appeal. This is also the final year of issue of the Draped

Bust half dimes, which would remain in silence and without

production until July of 1829.
