Pewter, 50 mm. Designed by Quayle with his name on the
obverse. The obverse showing three male busts facing left with
legend: "OCTOBER FOURTH/1909". Reverse depicts steamboat
navigating river crossed by bridge, legend around border:
"HUDSON-FULTON CELEBRATION/POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y." Pretty
rarely seen.
The medal will grade UNC with old time ton-
ing.

Issued by the Holland Society of New York on the 250th Anni-
versary of the Founding of the Board of Alderman in New
Amsterdam in 1665. The society was founded in 1885 for male
descendants of Dutch ancestors and is still very active today.
The original box of issue is also attached.
