Qustantiniyah (Constantinople) mint. Tughra; Reverse, mint, accession date and regnal year. The name

of the mint depended on the military and political relationship between Ottoman Empire and Europe.

When the relationship was friendly, “Qustantiniyah” was used, and when the relationship was adversar-

ial, “Islambul” was used.
