First Young Bust. Struck on a slightly smaller and thicker flan. Larger letters in legends; more compact

the royal titles, the king’s father’s title of Prince Elector (“PR”) has given way to simply

Elector (“E” at the end of the titles on reverse). Perhaps the finest known Guinea of this king, with nearly

perfect satiny surfaces and full details in the design. Just magnificent. Among guineas graded, of all

kinds, this coin stands alone for sheer technical quality as well as eye-appeal.

S-3671. PCGS-graded MS66.

GOLD GUINEA 1736

George II, Hanover King, 1727-1760

Second Young Bust, larger obverse lettering. A beautiful coin, glowing with luster, slight softness of

detail on the portrait (probably because the reverse shield is so sharp), choice surfaces, an exceptionally

fine piece.

S-3674. PCGS-graded MS62.

GOLD GUINEA 1739

With EIC hallmark for the East India Company. Intermediate Older Bust. A gorgeous, fully struck coin

with booming luster!
