George VI, House of Windsor King , 1936-1952, Proof gold set 1937, Matte finish, plain edges, S-PS15

variant, a complete set of 4 pieces, graded by PCGS as follows: 5-Pounds (S-4074 variant, WR-436, R6)

PR64 Matte, 2-Pounds (S-4075 variant, WR-438, R7) PR62 Matte, Sovereign (S-4076 variant, WR-440,

R7) PR64 Matte, and Half-Sovereign (S-4077 variant, WR-443, R7) PR63 Matte. A set matched for

color and therefore originality, each with untouched, delicate olive-green toning. Extremely rare with

this surfaces texture, evidently specially made by the Royal Mint for photographic purposes. One of the

great treasures of the Tyrant Collection.
