RIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP. Reverse; Pist-

rucci' s St George and Dragon motif. Date 1893 below, in

exergue. Gem mint state with a rich multi-hued tone. Shades of

deep aquamarine, russet and gold. A surprising absence of

imperfections on the heavily frosted design and mirror fields. A

gorgeous coin plucked from the Proof set of that year and one

of the more attractive examples of ' Old Head' Crowns available

to commerce.
