BEAUTIFUL S-8 WREATH

Lot 4

1793 S-8 R3 Wreath Cent PCGS graded AU58+,

CAC Approved

.

Very attractive glossy light olive and

medium chocolate brown. Satiny mint frost shows in the fields and protected areas and this cent offers

outstanding eye appeal. No spots, stains, or roughness, only very light wear on the highpoints and a few minor

contact marks. These include a dull nick in the field before the neck, a pair of light diagonal nicks closer to

the dentils before the neck, and a few shallow rim bruises on the reverse. The notable rim bruises are one

under the left end of the denominator and another over the D in UNITED. Nicely struck M-LDS, Breen

state III early. There are clear die clashmarks before the neck, the die crack that bisects the reverse is clear, and

the central reverse is bulged, strongest at EN in CENT. A beautiful 1793 Wreath Cent in spite of the minor

contact marks.

Our grade is EF40

. Noyes says EF45 net VF35 and tied for CC#15, his photo #26762. The
