Very Rare Galeazzo Maria Sforza Gold Ducat

Italian States. Milan. Galeazzo Maria Sforza, (1466-1476). Gold Ducat, undated, 3.51 g. Cuirassed bust right,

bare head. Rev. Arms surmounted by ducal helmet, dividing the letters GZ and M, firebrands and buckets

on each side. (CNI 14; Crippa 3; Mor 4; N-V 187; Fr 688 var). A couple of minor field hairlines on the

reverse, a lovely example with a particularly handsome portrait.

Peace standing to left, holding cornucopiae and holding a torch with which she
