Marie of Austria was Charles V’s daughter, wife of Maximilian II, Queen of Bohemia. She twice served as regent of Spain. Attwood’s
attribution to Trezzo seems to be the final word, however others have suggested Pompeo Leoni and even Leone Leoni.
