This Napoleonic type was struck in Mauritius, by the French, with silver captured from the Dutch. Most of the issue was
melted by the British after they captured the island later the same year.

Philip V (1700-1746). Pillar Coinage. Silver 8-Reales, 1741-Mo MF (Eliz 18; KM 103). In NGC holder
graded MS63 “Wings Approved”, excellent full, even strike, light gray tone with traces of vivid colouring,
choice original surfaces with flashy original mint lustre beneath the tone.
