Silver 20-Lire, 1927-R, Year VI (Dav 145; KM 69;
Pagani 672). In NGC holder graded MS65 (erroneously described by NGC as 50L), a gorgeous
example, sharply struck and beautifully toned in golden-orange and light blue iridescence, virtually
flawless.

The coin collector King and author of the Corpus Nummorum Italicorum (CNI) certainly had a hand in this classic design
on his own inter-war coinage.
A nicely toned similarly graded specimen, with some light obverse bagging realized US$1200 at NYINC in 2014. Please note
the NGC label on the coin in this lot shows the denomination as 50L, rather than 20L.
