Kanishka I (c. AD 127-152). Gold Dinar, 7.97g. Caped and crowned Kanishka standing facing, head left,
holding ankus over a small altar left, and sceptre right, ÞAONANOÞAO KA-NHÞKI KOÞANO.
Rev. Miiro (Mithra), nimbate, standing with left hand on sword and right hand raised, tamgha in field,
MIIPO (Göbl MK 31/3, these dies). Extremely fine with superb detail.

Huvishka (c. AD 152-192). Gold Dinar, 7.99g. Nimbate and diademed half-length bust of Huvishka
left on clouds, holding mace-sceptre, his other hand on the hilt of his sword. Rev. Nimbate figure of
Siva standing left, pouring water from a flask, the drops falling to the left of the tamgha in the field,
and holding a
vajra
(thunderbolt), trident, and a he-goat by a tether, the goat, possibly a reference to
Daksha
, who forbade his daughter to marry Siva, stands on its back legs (MK 308; cf Donum-Burns
276-8). Interesting types with generally sharp details, extremely fine.

upper left field (Göbl 574). Superb mint state.

holding garland and trident, the bull Nandi behind with annulet on rump, standing left, tamgha in
upper left field, triple pellets below Nandi’s head (MK 697). Extremely fine.
