PATTERN NICKEL-BRASS 3-PENCE 1937
Edward VIII, Abdicated Hanover King, House of Windsor, January to December 1936
Bare Head. Although Edward abdicated the throne in December 1936, all of his English patterns are
dated 1937. This 12-sided piece is one of the rarest of all modern coins; it is the earliest pattern of this
reign, featuring a reverse design which differs from the accepted pattern that is part of the complete
Edward VIII Proof set in this collection. One of the great treasures of the Tyrant Collection. A lustrous,
choice and truly beautiful specimen with evenly toned golden green surfaces.
