Award #24600. Silver and red enamels.

Type 5, with 3-rivets on reverse, screwpost base and ‘Monetny Dvor’ mintmark.

Original silver nut. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from P. McDaniel, 8

out of 10 condition rating. Accompanied by copies of official research from the

Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation, containing

award card, decrees and citations. English translation included.

Awarded to Major-Engineer Mikolyuk I.V. by decree of Nov. 5, 1941. Comrade

Mikolyuk served as weapon engineer, 220

served as gunner-bombardier, 668

became a pilot and air squadron commander. According to research, Sergeant

Gubin ended the war as Lieutenant, continued to be in service till 1965, and retired

as Colonel!
