ered in the Scottish building. An attractive uncirculated coin

with the original luster/mint red just starting to tone on the

reverse periphery.

Obverse, Wyon' s portrait of Queen with bun. Reverse, Britannia

right. Mint state with mirror fields under light toning. This is one

of several denominations produced in nickel in this year as a

deliberate experiment by the Royal Mint when considering

changes to the metal types of the nation' s coinage. Very rare in

this grade.

lated with a good amount of original mint red in the obverse

and reverse lettering. One of the rarest dates in the popular

1860-1894 penny series, and virtually unobtainable now in the

top grades. Catalogues over $3000 in Unc.
