toria. Obverse, gothic style portrait of Queen. Reverse; Crowned
cruciform shields. Frosty mint state with some patchy toning. A
rare date.

* The patchy toning is explained by the fact that this coin was
placed in a 'time capsule'containing various artefacts, in Eng-
land in the mid 1870s. It (with a few other coins offered here)
was unearthed comparatively recently.
