Russian Silver and Enamel coin dispenser. Ca. 1900. 75 mm. Hallmarked 88.

Maker’s mark: “ГЛ”. Cylindrical with short tubular chambers emanating from the

middle. Decorated with blue, aquamarine, red, green and white enamel rays and

geometric patterns. Ornate Cyrillic legend at either end: “БЕРЕГИ ДЕНЪЖКИ

/ НА ЧЕРНЫЙ ДЕНЬ” - “Save the money for the black day”. Graduated spring

dispensing compartment at three ends – for 10, 15 and 20 Kopecks.
