Elizabeth, 1742
. Cf.Diakov 86.4 (B.K. on reverse). Crowned, mantled bust right,
C.Ю.F. below / An angel emerging from the heavens, crowns Elizabeth, beside
the empress a woman kneels, holding a flaming heart and bracing a shield
emblazoned with the Russian Arms, monograms of Peter I and Elizabeth on
column behind, I.K. above exergue on right. Some tiny spots. Pearly slate-blue
gray with good lustre.

Diakov 107.5 (R1), Reichel 2205, Sm 242/c. Crowned and draped bust right,
signed B.SCOTT.F below / The Empress’ spirit ascending toward heaven, two
crying putti with the Russian Arms below, pedestal at left with a shield
emblazoned with the cipher of the new emperor Peter III. Sharp strike, lustrous,
pearly lavender gray. Small scratch and some hairlines. Still, Choice for type.
