Gold, silver, red enamels. Type 1, on early rectangular suspension, unique for this
order type. The suspension measures 29.7mm wide and 20.1mm high. The order
has no mintmark on reverse, as expected. Comes with official research - scans of
award card and citations. Awarded to Colonel Kudryashev Mikhail Aleksandrovich
by decree of October 26, 1943. According to archival research, Colonel
Kudryashev was a career officer. Recipient of the 1938 “XX Anniversary of the
RKKA” medal, he earned his first combat Order of Red Banner in February 1939,
adding 2 more plus 2 more Orders of Lenin, in addition to this Suvorov 2
nd
class,
during his distinguished WWII service.
